福利模型原址在九龍城寨邊沿的賈炳達道，「賈炳達」是英文 Carpenter 音譯過來，意思是「木匠」，當年外公外婆徒步從潮州來到香港，經過努力打拼做木工，辛勤省儉，在賈炳達道開了一家小舖賣屏門 (常見於粵語長片裡面分隔板間房之用)。隨著屏門生意式微，年輕的老佛爺建議不如嘗試售賣零食玩具，早於七十年代為福利模型奠定食玩潮格！從此，老佛爺同CEO幸得雙親襄助，從打工仔變成一小商戶。

因緣際會，福利模型開始經營遙控模型車、船和飛機．曾經組隊參加遙控車和船比賽，由舅父領軍，贏得不少獎項。後來，政府下令清拆，在最低迷的時候，迷茫中進駐深水埗，就是今天在元州街的舖位。養過不少貓貓狗狗，感謝多位忠心店長看門口捉老鼠，陪伴大家走過本城經濟飛耀的歲月。開業50多年至今，經歷不少模型玩具熱潮，為貼近潮流，2010年10月啟動臉書專頁，同顧客互動的福姑（你知道佢有英文名嗎？睇下英文版本）人設應運而生。於2023年2月，我們更加增設了福利模型網站，不論或遠或近的客人，都能夠隨時隨地買到心頭好 。

如今，兩老退休，承蒙各位多年支持，無盡感恩。

The original site of Fook Le Model was located on Carpenter Road at the edge of Kowloon Walled City. At that time, Grandparents came to Hong Kong from Teochew on foot and Grandpa started working as a humble carpenter. The family lived frugally despite hardship and opened a small shop on Carpenter Road to sell wooden screen doors (commonly used to divide rooms in Cantonese movies during 50-60’s). Later, the business declined, and the young Mrs. Fong suggested trying to sell snacks and toys, as if she envisioned the shokugan trend for Fook Le Model as early as in the 1970s! From then on, with the support of Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fong transformed themselves from wage earners into small business owners.

When opportunities came up, Fook Le Model started to sell remote control boats, cars and later on airplanes. Mr. Fong once formed a team to participate in competitions, led by our uncle, and won many awards. Later, the government ordered the demolition of the shop. Hitting rock bottom, Mr. Fong chose to move to Un Chau Street in Sham Shui Po, which is the current location. We have raised many loyal cats and dogs to keep the shop neat and safe. Together we witnessed the achievements through the prosperous years of Hong Kong. In business for over 50 years, Fook Le Model has experienced many model and toy crazes, and embraced opportunities. To keep up with the trend, our Facebook fan page kicked off in October 2010, and the Fook Cool public persona came into being as the online spokesperson interacting with fans. In February 2023, Fook Le Model official website launched so that our clients, local and abroad, can purchase their favorites anytime and anywhere.

Now that Mr. & Mrs. Fong enjoy retirement. We all are fervently grateful for your support over the years.
